Accommodation

Where to Stay

All riders and runners are responsible for arranging their own accommodation and there are plenty of options available in and around Geraldton. You can choose from a variety of host venues, including hotels, motels, chalets, guesthouses, backpackers and even caravan and camping facilities.

Camping

In 2025 we will be offering a camping option once again right next to the start/finish area. If camping is something you're interested in, please see the information below. Spots are limited, so get in quick!

Please note caravans will not be allowed. If you have a caravan, please contact the local Nabawa Tavern. If you camp at the tavern, you MUST be self sufficient as facilities are not provided. Click HERE to get in touch with them via Facebook.

    TENTS (BYO)

    Bring your own tent to pitch up. We will have a grass area on the oval where you can camp in a tent. The same facilities will be provided. (Tents are not provided)

    TENTS (PROVIDED)

    A new option where we provide the tent ready for you to move in. We will have a grass area on the oval where you can camp in a tent. The same facilities will be provided.

    TENTS FEMALE ONLY AREA (PROVIDED OR BYO)

    Another new option where any females on their own can be in a designated area for tents. We will have a grass area on the oval where you can camp in a tent. The same facilities will be provided.

    Please note, cars are not allowed on the oval and no males for this option

    SMALL CAMPER/ROOFTOP

    Bring your own small camper/rooftop tent. These spots are on harder ground so they won't be suitable for tents. Each camp bay will be 5 meters wide by 10 meters long. 

  • All campers will have access to showers and toilets during the stay. Security will also be onsite.

    Please note that the camp sites are unpowered so you will need to have your own power if you need it.

  • The closest shops are in central Geraldton, so we would recommend bringing supplies or stocking up prior to heading to Nabawa.

    The town does have a tavern right next to the finish line though, as well as a self service fuel pump.

  • TENTS (BYO)

    • $60 for one site & one person for 2-nights (Friday 8th August 10am - Sunday 10th August 10am)

    • $30 per addtional person.

    • $100 for one site & one person for 2-nights (Friday 8th August 10am - Sunday 10th August 10am)

    • $30 for one addtional person (max 2 people per tent).

    CAMPERS/ROOFTOP TENTS

    • $60 for one site & one person for 2-nights (Friday 8th August 10am - Sunday 10th August 10am)

    • $30 per addtional person.

    The cost goes towards having the basic facilities onsite such as showers and toilets, along with other administrative costs.

    Please ensure you select the correct number of people camping when registering as this will be checked when you arrive.

  • Unfortunately no, once you have purchased a camping spot, we will be unable to provide a refund

  • Camping is based at the event site. Staff will be onsite preparing for the event until late Friday evening and from approximately 5am on event day. Whilst we will endeavour to be as quiet as possible, you may be woken early. Feel free to jump in and give us a hand at any time!

  • All bookings are done online through the registration platform either when you complete the registration or after via the registration store. A valid registration is required in order to book.

    Please note: only one person needs to book the camping as part of the registration if you are in the same tent/camper.

     

    I've already registered as a participant in the event?

    If you have already registered as a participant in the 2024 event, then you can easily add the camping option to your registration. Click HERE to find the camping options and add it to your registration. You will need your Race Roster login for this or your confirmation number from your registration.

    I'm not a registered participant yet?

    You will need an event entry in order to book a camping spot. Simply go through the registration form HERE, select the event you would like to do and then fill out all the questions. Then be sure to select one of the two camping options towards the bottom of the page. Make sure you select the correct number of people camping with you.
